Thanks for registering for the 2010 Warriors program! The 2010 Board and volunteers are already preparing for the fall season. We have a lot of activities coming up this spring. Please mark your calendars.
Volunteers Wanted Volunteers are needed in the following areas: coaching, field set-up and takedown, announcing, concessions, spirit wear, off-season special events, fundraising, homecoming and more. Contact Jean Taylor at 630-542-8452 to become more involved.

Additional Fundraiser There has been an additional fundraiser for the 2010 season. All football levels Jr Pee Wee and above and all Cheerleaders at 10u and above must participate. See attached flyer for more details.

Important Upcoming Dates:
April 7th Open Registration and Equipment Fitting for On-line registrants
Last chance to receive early bird pricing. If you registered on-line, please come to the Iowa Community Center, 338 N. Iowa, for a fitting and to complete the proper paperwork. Also, open to all new registrants. Time: 5:30 – 8:00 pm. Open for both football players and cheerleaders. After this date the registration fee will be $210.
April 9th Candlelight Bowl
Save the date. Our Annual Candlelight Bowl Fundraiser will take place on April 9th. Please complete enclosed flier and return to Dina Ranieri by April 5th.
We are also seeking donations for our raffle. If you have any donations, call Dina at 630-816-0312.
April 16th, April 23rd and April 30th Open Cheer
For ages 9 and above: @ the Iowa Community Center, 6:00–7:30 pm. Come on out and get a head start on the cheer season. Stunting basics will be emphasized. This program is offered through the Villa Park Recreation Department. Fee $5 payable at the door.
April 22nd Football Coaching Clinic
Mandatory coaching clinic at Willowbrook High School at 7pm. If you cannot make this meeting, call John Bloemke at 630-993-1198.
July 24th Equipment Pick-up
Equipment pick-up for both Football Players and Cheerleaders. The exact location as well as times will be available on our website closer to the date. Your second and final payment is also due at this time - Raffle tickets for the mandatory raffle will also be handed out at this time.
July 26th 1st Day of Practice
The 2010 season will officially start on this date. Football players will practice from 5:30pm – 7:30pm Monday through Friday until school begins. The cheerleaders will practice Monday through Thursday until school begins. All outstanding paperwork is due on this date.
August 7th Picture Day
ID cards as well as team and individual pictures will be taken on this date. ID cards are a requirement to participate in AYF Chicagoland football. They are free on picture day through our picture company. If you cannot attend picture day, ID cards are available for a $10 fee at certification. Times and purchase options for pictures will be available at a later date. Contact Judy Degnan at 630-782-5513 if you will not be at picture day.
August 7th Cheer Clinic
AYF sponsored cheer clinic for all cheerleaders and cheer coaches. The exact location as well as times will be available on our website closer to the date. Arrangements will be made
August 13th Football and Cheer Certification
Certification is mandatory for all football players and Cheerleaders. Please make every effort to be available on this date. There will be a second certification. However, from previous experience, you do not want to have to attend this date. After the second date, there will be no more chances to be certified.
August 20th Warriors Night
Join us as the 2010 football squads and cheerleaders are introduced. Raffle winners will be drawn at this time as well.
August 21 or 22nd Preseason Game
More Information will be available closer to the date.
August 28th and 29th Opening weekend for all AYF Chicagoland teams.
October 23rd Bandit/Mighty-Mite Bowl
