Villa Park Summerfest

Come join us at this year’s Summerfest on June 20th.  We will be hosting an information tent as well as volunteering at one of the attractions. Let’s show our Warrior Pride to the community.  If you would like to be a part, contact Judy Degnan at 630-782-5513.  This is a great, family friendly event.  We cannot have too many volunteers.

WB High School Camps

Poms: June 22-26. Grades 2-9.  9:00 – 11:00am.  Willowbrook High School Foyer. Cost $65.
Football:  June 22-26.  Grades 7-9.  12:00 – 1:30pm.  Jackson Middle School.  Cost $65.
Cheerleading:  June 29-July 2.  All Ages. 8:00 –10:00am.  Jackson Middle School. Cost $60.

Important Date Associated with the 2009 Season

July 25th  Equipment pick-up. The exact location as well as times will be available on our website closer to the date.   Your second and final payment is also due at this time - Raffle tickets for the mandatory raffle will also be handed out at this time. 

July 27th  The 2009 season will officially start on this date. Football players will practice 5:30 pm through 7:30 pm Monday though Friday until school begins.  The cheerleaders will practice Monday through Thursday until school begins. All outstanding paperwork is due on this date. Questions regarding paperwork, contact at 630-532-2824.

August 8th  Picture Day. ID cards as well as team and individual pictures will be taken on this date.  ID cards are a requirement to participate in AYF Chicagoland football.  They are free on picture day through our picture company.  If you cannot attend picture day, ID cards are available for a $10 fee at certification.  Times and purchase options for pictures will be available at a later date.

August 16th Pool Party. Jefferson Pool.  7-9pm.

*Date Change* - August 22nd or 23rd   - Football Certification Day. One of these dates will be assigned to us for certification.  Certification is mandatory for all football players.  Please make every effort to be available on this date.  Players who do not attend certification will miss the first game of the season.  There will be a second certification.  From previous experience, you do not want to have to attend this date.  After the second date, there will be no more chances to be certified and your football player will not be eligible for the 2009 season

August 27th Cheer Certification. 6:30 PM at Grant Park in Leyden.  .  Certification is mandatory for all cheerleaders competing in competition.  Please make every effort to be available on this date. 

August 29th and 30th - Opening weekend for all AYF Chicagoland teams.

Candlelight Bowl

Our 1st annual Candlelight Bowl took place on May 29th and was a great success.  Thanks to all the Warriors parents and friends who came out and made the night a success.  A special thanks to Dina Ranieri, Mark Ranieri, Kim Wheatley, Tracy Morser, Tracy Neiswanger, Bill Degnan, and Teno Geritano who donated their time.  Please see the website for a complete list of donors to the Candlelight Bowl.

Gardens of Characters

Several Warriors families spent the afternoon planting the flowers at the corner of Ardmore and Park Boulevard.  Drive by and admire their handy work.  Thanks to the Degnan, Devens, Kelso, and Morser families for showing the Warriors’ commitment to our community.
